Well, there you go. Have fun. Report back.

Champ have you got anything to post about Barber? I'm interested to know your opinion. That track is on my list...well, so's Losail, but that one's WAY down the list.

I'm going to consider this quite seriously. Barber looks awesome plus it's warm down there in March. What could go wrong?

Re: barber in march?

ok.  well it looks like a few people are interested.  I will start doing a little research about where we could stay(logistics).  It's almost 1000 miles on the dot.  so it would be about 17 hours straight through.  I am 95% sure I would like to go.  (need to acquire a few more parts.)  I will find out more info and post up later.

Awsome track and motorsport museum.  It would be nice to do two days at the track.

Re: barber in march?

Did 2 days a few years ago.  Hell, the Oldsmobuick made a few laps as the crash vehicle....6-wheel drift....nice.

Lots of elevation.  Blind apexes and turn-ins.  I dare you not to wheel hop into Charlotte's web at least once.  Had some decent video I shot somewhere.  Not sure where that ended up.  The right by the museum will test your front end like no other turn I've ever seen.

Have fun, whoever goes.  I know you will.

Re: barber in march?

This looks like it might be a date that fills up quickly.  I am going to probably keep a close watch on STT's site for registration to open and sign up right away.  I think I would like to do both days as long as we(i hope people actually want to go) are so far from home.  So that is what I am going to sign up for.

Also, with STT, if you plan on running intermediate or advanced, you need to have a back protector.
If you plan to run advanced, you need to have at least your oil filter and drain plug safety wired.

Stay tuned...

Re: barber in march?

Signed up for both days as well.

FYI.  for both days and a year long STT membership, the total came to $430.  If you need to sell plasma or semen or whatever, I would get on the ball...

Which Bike Now?

As much as I'd like to take the 675, I'm inclined to run the SV at this point. I know that bike pretty well and think it would be less likely to get my sorry ass in trouble.

Think I'll spend some time in the spring getting adjusted to the 675 and then do another trackday sometime in the summer with it.

Road America, anyone?

Re: barber in march?

I'd be in for Road America.  Got any dates yet?  I haven't checked any out.

Prefer maybe sometime in June or July if they have one.  We would make a family trip out of it.  Kids would come along and we were thinking about seeing a co-worker of Melinda's that works out of Lakes Gas in Wild Rose.

Thanks

I'm down. Monte's got a June and July and NESBA's got an October. I'll do a Blackhawk too.

Shut yer hole, you'll let out the good smoke. I didn't start other track days on this thread.

Keep pushing me, Spicoli. I'll clip the zip ties on your brake pads.
