Spring Fling-Saturday, May 9th

I dropped off flyers at most of the shops yesterday and today.... after today only one left i believe. Met some more great people/owners. I have 3 more shops that will be posting their specials and deals. All of them liked the design on the flyers ( good work Paul) and were happy to set them out . Thanks for printing them Denise

I took a rip thru the park ... we will need a couple of grills. we will just have to estimate how many people we think will show up and get potato salad and chips accordingly. Post up if you can bring your grill yet .

Yard games would be great. there is also a volleyball net set up usually if anyone wants to bring a ball .

I see nine of us on the Facebook invite, with 9 maybes. We'll volunteer the Cunjabba grill. I just have to remember to fill the tank. Anything else you need from us?

2 things... If the weather is shitty, I will bring plastic down and we can close in the pavilion. Im sure the city doesn't give refunds due to the weather.

If we need a second grill is yours still available E ?

Actually, I'm really excited at the prospect of meat and alcohol. It's been weeks since I've absorbed any roast beast and the Beamish has completely filtered out of my system.

Good time yesterday. Thanks for all the work, mileageguy. Great steak, excellent beer, good people. Erin's had it tough lately and I think this was a nice break for her. The evening movie was a bit surreal...practicecrasher and I agreed it was the right group for it, though, and we're thinking about adding more craptastic movies to our list for hosting MST3K nights.

Too bad Mystery Science Theater isn't on TV anymore. I sometimes think 95% of movies would be much more entertaining with those 3 wise asses down in the corner.

And finally I have to congratulate Rand McNally and Hayden on the great save. It truly was the highlight of the day. If only someone would have had a video camera, you could have had a contender for AFV.
