Another quick prize update.  Sport Rider has thrown in some additional prizes including an HJC helmet, a couple of helmet bags and lots more t-shirts and hats.  Sport Motors kicked in some nice Buell backpacks and t-shirts.

I hope to pick up the last of the prizes from Zachos tomorrow.

See everyone on Saturday.

Don't forget, we still have prizes coming from Airtec in Menomonie. I'll stop by there on the way to pick up the pig.

That's right.  I did forget about that.

Also, Paul will be picking up some goodies from Craig at Rebuild It in Cadott.

I'm thirsty already, how about you?

We're saving Satan's Anus for you. Can wear it on your houdini finger. And hey, if you win your raffle pick, I get exactly 1/3 of the prize. Call it a proxy fee. Maybe my dad can use it on his riding mower. Oops.

That smacks of some ancient male rite of passage...

"A venerable tribe of pygmies deep in the jungles of Sumatra is all abuzz on this very special day. For today is their yearly zip tie cutting ritual, a ceremony steeped in history and rich in colorful, yet flimsy garb.

A young boy approaches the tribal fire. His father, the tribe's mechanic, wields a pair of cutters and, with a knowledge of precision clipping handed down from one generation to the next, snips his first-born son's zip tie.

And the tribe rejoices. There is much celebration, with a dance of joy and consumption of fermented sap from the Mixtpa tree. The festivities will last all night..."

Ladies and gentlemen, my David Attenborough impression.

I think I could keep going, but I have to work...or something.

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

I have a quick question. In the requirements stated it says helmet, pants, jacket and gloves. I have some friends that would like to attend but not all of them have riding jackets or gloves. They all wear helmets and the one that doesn't have a jacket wears a chest and back protector, would that be ok or not.
If someone could please let me know ASAP so I can let them know and avoid any problems or confusion tomorrow I would appreciate it.

On a quick side note one of these guys is a for sure as far as wanting to be a member in the future and also plans on buying a jacket but is just not able to at the current moment hes also the one that wears the back and chest protctor and I would hate to have to turn him away but I do understand the importance of gear.

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

No gloves? Any gloves would be better than bare skin.

I turned away a friend of mine because he wouldn't wear the gear. Beg, borrow or steal, in my poor opinion.

I"ll bring some extra gloves along tomorrow if someone needs to borrow them for the ride.

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

I just read this and I've got an extra leather jacket.  It's the first riding jacket I ever bought.  I still wear it every day to work and, believe it or not, has never been down.  Not sure on the size, but it fits me well, so probably size HUGE or something close to it.

Oh, and the no gear rule is absolute.  I don't need to see ground hamburger when all I should have seen was tenderized beef.

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

well thank you kind sirs! I will pass the info on and hope everything works out.

One more question if I may, can people register pay and not ride but just come down to crossroads and participate in the activities?

And also I agree with all of 100% about the gear cause I wish I was wearing it when I crashed but their are some rumors flying around about the ride today and I figured I would ask just for clearification.

Great ride, excellent food, plenty of drink, fantasic prizes, championship level power puking, and more scrotal skin than anyone could hope to see in one night (Amy says you may want to get that mole looked at.)

Thank you!

I'm now in an airport leaving I go home but I had a pretty good time. There weren't enough shots done and I saw far too many ballsacs that weren't my own, bit still enjoyed myself. I doubt I'll be back again anytime soon but I have no doubt some of you will be out to visit! Cheers!

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

It was a splendid surprise to see you, Ay-ron. Hope it was worth the airfare. smile

Thanks, officers, for putting together another memorable event!

Fish, just wanted to tell you that, in your hands, pork is a magical thing indeed. Thanks for filling my belly with the ho-made fixin's.

Zach, thanks for helping...I swear you could've found something better to do than to help us foul-minded old people, and we appreciate that you were there, up to your elbows with us in the porky goodness, and smackin' the pig butt. wink

I had a great time and have the dehydrated brain to prove it. Us roomies have been sitting in the garage for the last two hours, recalling the funny events of the day (and helping each other form words). The Clam Chair is...okay. But WTF is a "tip-up"?

Re: Laguna Seca--*****PRIZES UPDATE*****

Drunken Lowell is definitely smart Lowell.

Top 10 list?  I think so.  In no particular order.

10) Offering Alan's hot wife my room key
9) Alan's hot wife accepting the aforementioned room key
8) Most assuredly picking up "the HIV" from my inaugural game of beer pong
7) Screaming, not like a little girl, but more of an adolescent girl when I saw Double A Ron walking toward me at Crossroads
6) An uneventful ride
5) AWESOME food
4) Hanging out with good friends and making a few new ones
3) Seeing more of my good friends hanging out than I would have preferred(DDP, that vein is not right)
2) Spider-pig/Quagmire impression gone horribly wrong
1) Watching our most junior member spew onto the beer pong table, effectively ending beer pong for the night---God I hope they disinfect that before anyone uses it again.

A HUGE, MONSTROUS thank you to Badfish, Little Badfish(his son, not his unit), Turd and Mx for working on the food prep all day so the rest of us could go play.  Thanks to Cormonster for allowing us to use his facilities for the event.

I hope everyone had a good time.

Please note that the difficulty level of spider-pigging goes up exponentially when the performer is wearing obam, err, I mean flip-flops(clearly visible in the clean-up picture).  The Beijing officials are shipping my medal.  It's all about sticking the landing.
