Ok people, another cool event some of you should try to make it out to! I'll take care of picking people up at the airport and dropping them off, and all the driving to and from the event, so no worries there. You'll have to buy your own pass to the race, and we'll probably split hotel costs, unless only one or two of you were to come, then maybe I could cover the whole thing. Because I'm nice like that.

I'm sure nobody will actually make it, but you should consider it. Flight prices are currently as follows:

June 30 - July 6: $269
July 1 - July 6: $275
July 2 - July 6: $275
July 2 - July 8: $234

And prices vary around those. Feel free to come earlier or later, it does not matter. Any and all of you are welcome to stay with us for as long as you want, whenever you want. Just let me know ahead of time so I can get you from the airport big_smile

Feel free to post up, email, or call with any questions or comments you have.

Edit: When I said I would pay for the hotel, I lied. Finding a hotel with availability is turning out to be really fucking tough, which is absurd, considering there are 600 some hotels within driving range of the track. The ones I have found are minimum $225 per night. For a single queen. I might just end up driving back to the city after the race both days, not sure. It's about a 2 hour drive each way - which isn't really that awful, especially since we could stay in a hotel in San Francisco for $80 per night.

Of course. And like I said, the prices vary depending on your departure dates, so playing with dates will get you the best rates. The airport to fly into is either SFO (San Francisco) or OAK (Oakland). I prefer SFO, but either way works, they're the same distance for me to drive.

I would've completely jumped on this opportunity if I wasn't already trying to pay more for flying in a 64 year old plane those very same days. smile

If anyone is actually interested, let me know before June 19th, when ticket prices increase.
