any club days in the pipe line?

I am thinking about signing up for a couple and just wondering when the club will be partaking in festivities and where!

I think the Prez had said we were s.o.l. Anybody got a driveway with a bend in it?

Re: any club days in the pipe line?

After much research, a weekend track date for a reasonable price doesn't really seem to exist this year.  I know that everyone who has done one in the past couple of years has had a great time.  If anyone has any information regarding a "local" trackday on a weekend, I'd be very interested because I'd love to see the club do a trackday this year.

The "best" option I've seen at Blackhawk Farms is in September for $240 with STT.  That's around $100 more than last year.  Not worth it IMO.  STT is also at Autobahn in August for $210.  Every event at BIR and RA are during the week which I don't think would work that well for most members.  Perhaps I'm wrong about this.  If so, post up and let me know.

I think Mondays aren't so bad.  Go up Sunday morning, set up...camaraderie, sleepy, ridey, pack, go home.  Good excuse for a Monday off!

for that much $$$$$  they can KMA baby!

If no one gets a track day going, perhaps we could schedule a looooong day or weekend ride, south to LaCrosse and even further south than that?

I'm sure Rand could come up with a route!

I had been thinking along those lines Wood.  We'll see what the masses desire.

Perhaps a new poll: Monday Track Day vs. Long Weekend Super Twisty Ride.

I could do either.

Re: any club days in the pipe line?

I really don't see any reason why the club can't support both a track day AND an overnighter.  If both were to happen, the level of financial support by the club for each event would most likely decrease.  I've emailed Dave at PTT to see what they would do for us this year.

Re: any club days in the pipe line?

Dave from PTT said if we committed to 25 people, they would do $150 per with 1/2 due ASAP to reserve the spots and the other 1/2 due 45 days prior to the event.  I don't think it's really worth the potential hassle to save $5 off the early registration rate.

Re: any club days in the pipe line?

I didn't mean to imply that BHF was the track we'd go to if we go.  I think WHERE to go will be decided after we figure out IF we go.  To me, it's a no-brainer.  $240 for BHF or $230 for RA.  $10 less to ride a world-class race track.  RA might involve a hotel rather than camping, but still.

Is 25 a stretch for just our group? Maybe we could team with MNSBR? I'd love to go ride RA. A lot.

Re: any club days in the pipe line?

This will be our third year, I believe, doing club track days.  I don't think we've topped 20 before on a weekend.  My guess is we'd have a hard time coming up with 25.  The RA event, by the way, is with STT, not PTT so no special pricing.

Tommy always says he's going to church. Honestly who goes to church that much on a ski trip? At night? And returns smelling like whiskey and feet?
