Wednesday, 4/23

Planning on a rip on Wednesday.  Flexible departure and return times.  Route is open to suggestions.  If interested, post up with when you can go and how long you can be gone.

Re: Wednesday, 4/23

I'm game. I'm out at 3:30 (3 if I ask) in Chip. Can ride until 6:59am Thursday.

UPDATE: I asked. I'm out at 3. Give me about 20 minutes to get to EC if you decide to start there. Yea! big_smile

Re: Wednesday, 4/23

Anyone who's interested is welcome to join us for a ride tomorrow, 4/23.  We'll be leaving at 4:00 so try to get there a few minutes early and be ready to roll at 4.  We'll be at the Holiday gas station on the corner of Golf Rd. and Hwy 93.  It's the one acrosss the road from Kwik Trip and RCU.  I think it's a Holiday station.  See you there.

It's probably for the best since this way you can't make anyone else crash.

Be sure to wear those "red" shorts...if you get lost, you can flag down a helicopter with 'em.

I just went outside, it's freaking fantastic out there. I have to try to ride today, since it's supposed to snow on Sunday.

something that is real fun is when a certain person is leading then all of a sudden decides we are going left.  that's when magic begins to happen.....

I went for a little 100 mile scoot down to pepin and back today.  It was all good.  got a little knee action on CC out of pepin.   quickly discovered that between sunday and today, the pepin county highway department felt it necessary, on CC and a little bit of SS, to coat the shoulders AND the 1 -1.5 ft of pavement closest to the shoulder with dirt and gravel.  fucking awesome.  so if you decide you are going to venture over to the pepin/menomonie area, A: Know there will be oodles of gravel to play with(it isn't so bad you can't ride it and still have fun)
        B: CALL ME

that is all.

Great ride.  It's always fun to go pavement carving with a group of capable riders.

I work weekends, so I'll be trolling the forums looking for more middle of the week outings.

Soooooo, you would have me not follow the road?  O.K., next ride will be the first annual "As the crow flies" ride and I'll LET you lead.

I can't believe that, between the two of us, we couldn't take all 16 inches.  Even more surprising was that Turd and double-a-ron couldn't either.  I was sure they'd gobble it up and want some of ours.  Once the chicken got involved, I guess all bets were off.

It was good to meet you, Josh, and don't be shy about posting up a ride.  You never know who might be available.

You took more of it than me. Besides, I'm out of practice. You can't just throw 16 inches at me and expect me to jump right on it all willy-nilly. You gotta warm up for that, which probably explains the chicken getting involved. My guess is it's been some time for Turd and Aaron as well. It was a little too dark for my taste too. I'm just glad the gag reflex didn't kick in; I'd hate to throw up in my helmet. Also, the thought of peeing in somebody's mouth was just slightly off-putting.

We're fucking weird, aren't we.

Jesus. I made a right choice by going straight home, I see.

16 inches. Wow.

Was Turd a screamer or a moaner?
