BIR/Track Addix 6/16

I'm in! One track day bought and paid for.

Looking for a ride up for my bike (and its crappy rider)....I'm flexible with departure day (as long as we get up early enough to watch Scott race)...Thursday afternoon, Friday, whatever. Just need a week or two heads up to get any days off besides the track day on Monday.

If enough of you show up for that weekend, we could divy up the cost of a condo, if it's available. Scott's looking into the condo sitch.

If you're willing to transport me and my junk, I'll compensate for vehicle fuel consumption in cashy money.

I really won't have much of anything except the bike, rear stand and maybe a bag or two. Post up, pretty please, and help a damsel in distress? smile

Re: BIR/Track Addix 6/16

Unless something works itself out with someone else and a trailer spot, it looks like I'm probably taking my dad's pickup...got room for at least three spectators.

I'm leaving between Thursday 6/12 after 12 noon at the earliest or Friday 6/13 early evening at the latest (gotta watch CRA races!), so there's some flexibility if anyone wants to join me. Departing for home Monday 6/16 after track day.

Am leaving the Beamish at home.

Come on! You know you wanna!

One more detail. I can also hook up an open snowmobile trailer which I'm pretty sure can hold three bikes. Two at least.

Here's your opportunity folks.  If you were hesitating to sign up for the track day because you couldn't get your bike up to BIR, Mx has 2, count 'em, 2 spots open.

CONFIRMED: THREE SPOTS OPEN. Three can go on the trailer. I got the back of the pickup, if necessary.

Bring your own tie-downs. Tie down your own bike. Somebody tie down mine too.

Well, since I can't go to BIR, I might as well help the ones out who want to go....

I have an enclosed trailer that someone can use that weekend.

If you need to use it, please give me a buzz and I will get it to ya.

Hope you guys have fun there!!!

Re: BIR/Track Addix 6/16

Does anyone remember what the club pitched in per person last year?  I couldn't find the thread from last year where this was discussed for some reason.

I think it was $10.

We'll go with $10.....for paid club members.

We will be able to stay in the condo at BIR Sunday night.  The condo will sleep 10 people easy.  Air mattress will be needed for a few people though.  Cost is $20 per person per night.  Paid upfront.  I will rent the condo as soon as I have 6 paid people.  I will rent the condo all weekend if I have enough interest and people to help cover the cost.  Post up ASAP.  Sign up for track day ASAP.

Any ?'s let me know.  Also, I know that in the past the club has chipped in for club members on track day to help cover the cost.  Is that happening this year also?  If so someone should post up that info.

Brother and I are in for the condo. Will get you the moolah today. I want Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Brother wants Saturday, Sunday.

How late can we get into BIR on Friday night? I thought I remembered getting locked in at least one night?

Keep in mind, you foot dragging laggards, the cost for track day goes up from $165 to $190 on June 9.

Think it is 5 x 8.  Holds my Gixxer and all my gear.  Also holds alot of kids' shit, but that's another story.  ie: wagon, Lightning McQueeen and Sherriff.

Re: BIR/Track Addix 6/16

I've been assured the gates never close. Though they may take your first-born until morning as entrance fee.

UPDATE: I'd be willing to leave for BIR Saturday morning if need be.

Re: BIR/Track Addix 6/16

If you're on the fence about doing BIR, just keep in mind the price goes up to $190 next Thursday, the 12th.  So, sign up by the 11th and save $35.

For those of you wondering about gear passing tech inspection:  A 3/4 length (circumference) zipper will pass.  They are not going to be checking all that close unless it's obvious your gear doesn't zip together.  If you have any other questions fell free to ask.

Thanks for the info. I'm having Leatha @ Fastitch put in as much zipper as possible...for peace of mind. smile
