Before I put much time or effort into finding out pricing, availablity, etc. I'd like to know if people are even interested.
There would be a whole seasoned and injected hog. Roasted slowly for eight hours. (Mmmmmm)
An appropriate number of barrels of beer.
A couple of sides to be determined. (volunteers to make some sides would be awesome!)
The location would be 15 miles west of Eau Claire, near Bubbas Paintball. There is a medium sized building that would be great for serving the food and beer and it has multi stalled male and female bathrooms. There is a huge yard and plenty of room to park. Volleyball, horse shoes, bags, etc could be set up with room to spare. Weather permitting, there could be a tent rented by the club. I could also store bikes overnight, inside, if you decide to camp or get a sober ride home. (plenty of room for tents)
I have done this once before and I can tell you, this would be about the 25th hog (guesstimate) my father in law has done. He KNOWS what he is doing, they always turn out killer!
I have no vested interest in this happening, but I thought I'd volunteer my time and planning if it sounds good to you guys.
If the location isn't up to par, the roaster is mounted on a trailer and could be towed to an alternate location.

Not as bad as you might think. We'll need to use club connections and volunteers. Maybe someone can get us a deal on beer (anyone know a distrinutor/brewer?) *cough* mileageguy *cough* The pig would be wholesale/cost, I would do the roasting and prepping for free (I am pretty sure my FIL would help, he did last time I threw a hog roast party), the roaster would be used free of charge and if the club payed for ingredients with volunteers doing the prep work...
A few hundred bucks and you've got a big party!

Just to be clear, this is a different idea than when you were drunk and belligerent at Turd's on Saturday night and told everyone they could just, "Go ahead and eat my hog." Thanks in advance for your help in clearing up my confusion.
If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride could do.

You're welcome! With sobriety, comes clarity. Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I am...

You're the man!!! Now, who's got connections for wholesale food? Sam's club members?
Volunteer help? Wives/ girlfriends that like to cook/bake/table dance? All skills that would, no doubt, be useful!!
Twinkie loves to bake...and table dance. So that just leaves someone to make potato salad and baked beans as sides

I thought he said something about eating something plain instead of battered....
Do I think I'm better than everyone? Only the ones I'm better than.

Speaking of Twinkie Cummings...is she available this Saturday night? Sure would spice up the bofire party...
Oh yeah, you coming Andy?
I'd like to make it, but the kid has a band competition Saturday and it would depend on his arrival time. If I do, I'll try to bring Ms. Cumings with.
