Don't think there is much differance I have Goodrich's. Kevlar will cost you more however!

Stay away from brands that use aluminum fittings. Be sure to ask. Electrolytic corrosion, otherwise know as electrolysis (not to be confused with hair removal) may occur resulting in total brake system failure. Other than that, they are going to provide the same result.
These use only stainless fittings, available in many color combinations.

I hadn't really looked into it. Probably wouldn't hurt while I had everything apart. How long would it take to bleed the front brake lines if I replaced them? I have heard it is pretty time consuming...

i have had both russel and galfer braided lines...pretty much any company such as HEL, Speigler,Galfer, Fren Tubo, etc. are all great...if i get myself into a titanium addiction next winter im gonna get rid of my galfers and switch so some titanium versions :rock:

oh and it really should only take about an hour start to finish to install and bleed your new brakes unless you take your time(brake fluid is nasty shit that eats paint...and one person can do it alone usually:fact...grab my brake lever one time and youd love the feel...
oh and if your doing brake lines grab youself some HH brake pads as well like wood mentioned...thats kinda the whole phase 1 brake upgrade package...
phase 2 (basically my setup) adds galfer/brakeing wave rotors and CRG or Pazzo levers...and possibly a brembo mastercylinder

If you want to spend a little more since everything will be drained you can use Dot 5 but you will always have to use it and I think the only real advantage is it won't eat your paint if you spill. It might also run a little cooler!

I'd use Motul brand brake fluid. I know Sport Motors carried it. It is higher temp fluid so you don't get brake fade, which, speaking from experience, is a little scarry. I think it's good up to 600 degrees.

Thanks for all the info. Any helpful tips on installation would be greatly appreciated. I think I want to go ahead and get the brake lines and pads for now, and change the brake fluid throughout the bike.

It probably doesn't get as hot as your brakes do when you have to stop while carrying the "healthy" girls.
