Flood Run

The annual spring flood run is just around the corner on Saturday, April 19th.  We'll meet at our regular meeting spot in the parking lot of Shaghai Bistro on Craig Rd. at 10:30 with kickstands up at 11:00.

We'll wind our way to Nelson, WI and possibly slab it down the highway toward Winona, MN.  The actual itinerary will be flexible depending upon the weather.  As of now, the forecast looks very nice.

See ya on the 19th.

Re: Flood Run

Is this going to be as big a clusterfuck as I think it is?

Hundreds of bikes doing 10 under the posted limit?

Re: Flood Run

We don't do the traditional flood run.  We'll head to Nelson via the twisties.  Hang out for a while and watch the clusterfuck.  Then vamoose, again, via the twisties.

Re: Flood Run

Hey, if it's cold AND raining, can we get drunk as a family? Or am I the only lazy one? I don't have rain gear and even if I did I probably wouldn't wear it. Vanity prohibits my looking like Bib...any more than usual.

Anyway, I'll show at the Bistro and sit on the proverbial fence. Wanna try out my new Armored Freds. Armored as in warm. smile

Scout, my mom is shipping my lunch from FLA. I had her make a bologna sandwich for you. Don't blame me if you cramp up half way back.

Re: Flood Run

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally don't want to go if it's going to be 50 and raining.  Been there, done that, and it sucked.  Personally, I'm planning on checking the radar tomorrow a.m. and deciding then.  Have fun if I'm a no-show.

Your fearful leader signing off.

p.s.  definitely riding on sunday.  shanghai bistro at 10 leaving at 10:30.  i'll put this in another thread, too.

Re: Flood Run

So we did see you. Despite my warning that you stay home. Like you said, at least it didn't rain. I'll be sending you my next water bill, though. Your showing up made it cold and I used up all our hot water trying to thaw out ala shower when I got home. Despite the low tempage, I had a great time following the Fearful Leader.
