The benefit ride is this coming Saturday.
If you wish to donate, but can't come on Saturday, please stop at any RCU and make a deposit into the CV Sportbike Club savings account.
If you will be attending on Saturday, we ask that you still deposit the money into the club's RCU account. We'd like to cut one check to Jacob.
If you can't do this, cash will definitely be accepted on Saturday and will be given along with the check.
Now, for the specifics.
Meeting place: Shanghai Bistro
Meeting time: 7:30 a.m.
Leaving time: 8:00 a.m.
The actual benefit ride takes place from 10:30 to 1:30 leaving from the Hitching Post in South St. Paul. Following the ride there will be a party at Jacob's parent's house in Inver Grove Heights. We'll head for home around 3 making it back to EC around 5:30.
I look forward to seeing a large group and presenting a tidy sum to Jacob and his family.
See everyone Saturday.

How high is the pot for whether E shows up or not?

Do I think I'm better than everyone? Only the ones I'm better than.

If I had no one to mock, E, it would be no fun at all.

I'll be pulling a check out of the club's account tomorrow afternoon, so if you want to donate, please do so before noon tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone who gave to this wonderful cause.

Now we'll have to see if he actually rides with us. Or if we LET him.

Yeah, Scout...go back to your drinking...
Me tired.
E, thanks for making an appearance (other than the usual drive-by). You were a balm. Or a salve. Maybe you were hair product.
As crash mentioned, it was GREAT to get the chance to b.s. with all the fine human beings we ride with every weekend. Now you can't wait for Laguna, right? Cuz there's booze too...and we all get REALLY gorgeous...
Also, I've never had more fun playing "holie." Now I want to stab everyone.
If you stepped outside yourself today, and viewed the club from a distance, would you think it was at all weird that a bunch of old people with motorcycles were wandering around giving each other the okay sign, punching, wiping, and walking around with their hands sticking out in front of their noses?
I didn't think so.
...It's too bad Crossroads doesn't have a big enough parking lot for stunts.

Hey guys (and gals) - it was great meeting you all yesterday! True to my word, I will forever go by windy on this forum!
I think I may still need some clarification on all the rules to "holie"....personally I think it may just be a good reason to punch your buddies in the arm for really no good reason at all, but hey, everyone had a great time doing it, right?!?
It was a fun time though!!

First, I'd like to thank Allen for putting this together for his little brother. It's difficult to say how awesome it would be to have your big brother care so much for you. Bubba is certainly a neat kid and all of my best wishes go out to him and his bright future.
Second, I'd like to thank all of the folks who contributed and/or went along on the ride itself. The CVSC had 12, well, 11 1/2 riders make it for the event. We're still not sure why crash Rob's friend turned around on I94. All tolled, the club gave $390 to the Bubba Gump Foundation; $275 from individual donations and $115 from the club's funds. For me, it was a great day. It's hard to beat the feeling you get from doing something completely selfless, well, not completely I suppose because we were able to ride, but you know what I mean.
Here are a few pics I took throughout the day. See everyone in a couple hours.
Even more elusive than the mighty sasquatch. It's an eprissel.
Couple 'o crowd shots.
Bubba in the white shirt on the left.
Bubba's big bro, Allen, in the Repsol shirt.
Vehicular crowd shots.
Our new friend, Windy.
Best for last.
VIRTUAL PUNCH & WIPE!!
