Dearest Eprissel, Not sure where you went to high school, 1 up + 5 down=6 (ok, technically it's -4). You should check into Yamahas...they have 6 speeds! big_smile

Badfish...I should be around on Saturday...pm me if you need to take my humble but,  pretty blue missile for a refreshing spin through the vineyard.
Also, Skrawny hates Hondas.  Don't tell anyone...He owned one a few years ago...and it had Dunlops!  Shhhhhhhh!  I haven't ridden the 600RR yet, so...no comments.

it was a 215mph missle, with 152hp, and 109ft lbs. of torque.
it was a fun bike for a overweight fat pig.

by the way the dunslops never seen the road.

I called on a used 2004 GSXR thou, Yosh pipe, 5,000 miles and asking $5900. Might be sold already to a guy from Chippewa according to the seller. I call again today to find out.

Anyone know a reliable/ACCURATE  site to look up HP/dry weight/ etc on bikes? I noticed published dry weight/hp numbers vary greatly from site to site.

No H/P but some measured times and speeds:

I think a 750 is the sweet spot bro.
Meh.

Yeah, that or the 675. I am going to ride a used 750 tomorrow. '06, 1500 miles, totally unmolested, $7600ish. Riding xD675x's Monday or Tuesday.

Nice link...I will check it out.

Badfish, I am sorry, but I can't let you ride the FJ. It's hi-tec parts and razor like handling would just be too intimidating for you at this time.  Good Luck with your future purchase!!

My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather I will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...... WOW....WHAT A RIDE!                                                                            "Got Amsoil"

I know I previously said that throwing a bigger bike around was kinda fun in a challenging sort of way, but my only comparison was a quick scoot on an 06 R1. Then I rode a 600. All downhill from there...you gotta try one of these things! Whatever I get, we'll swap rides sometime so you can experience one of these things (if you haven't already).

I rode an 06 GSXR 750 today. I will withhold judgment until after I have ridden a 675, but that GSXR was impressive. Power everywhere, felt like similar pull to the FZ1. 30 mph in 3rd and it pulled strong. 60 mph in 6th and I could have easily passed a car without down shifting.

Riding madscouts bike last night was pretty damn sweet too. EASLILY the best seat so far.  The 636 was plenty quick, too.

I gotta say though, that 07 CBR600RR is STILL stuck in mind. That thing was SMOOTH!!!! The salvage title is really the catch there.  sad

Huh, didn't know they put clear coat on Suzukis these days.  Thought they came factory-direct with duct tape and stickers covering rusty areas.  Turd, Rand, you can back me up on this, right?

Since you said you're not comfortable enough with it to run tomorrow, bring it and with my comfort-level on Suzukis I'll throw it, I mean, run it down the track for ya.
